Indoor to out
Many of us have fallen in love with climbing indoors at one of the many Climbing walls and would like to come outdoors but worry about the expense and wonder about how to get started.
The first thing to know is that there is a middle ground between indoor climbing and traditional leading outdoors. Setting up your own top ropes at one of the many single pitch venues in the lakes. A less expensive and less scary way to take your skills out doors.
Our full mountain instructor will take you through how to set up a top rope, safely and climb with your partner. At the end of the day you will be able to go out to local single pitch crags and know what to look for to safely manage your own personal climbing adventures.
2 or more clients £200 Based around Newby Bridge, or Ambleside
What about trying Abseiling
If rock climbing seems a little too strenuous what about abseiling. Abseiling is traveling down a fixed rope controlling your descent with an abseil device. It takes none of the physical effort of climbing but gives that being at height rush and over the edge tingles.
Mega abseil is based in the Langdale Valley between Coniston and Ambleside and involves a massive drop into an old quarry and exit via underground tunnels.
Aqua sailing is abseiling down waterfalls and based in Coniston. A brilliant summer activity and a bracing morning cobweb remover!
We have a variety of group based abseil areas for families and young people in Ulverston, Coniston, and Ambleside areas.
