We run a number of professional development and qualification courses for the Outdoor, Training and Education Sectors. Course Directors Elspeth & John Mason are expereicned trainers who can taylor the course to your needs and interests, and make it a fun learning experince.

Mere Mountains/ JEM Training is a National Skills Acedemy approved Outdoor sector training provider. Please ask if funding may be available for your course,
Casualty Care First Aid Training

Casualty Care First Aid Training is a HSE approved training provider in it's own right (HSE apporval no 02/05) All trainers are expereinced outdoor leaders (APIOL) and have a background in REC and Mountain Rescue.
All our 16hr courses are suitable for NGB and AALA needs, and are reported as being at a slightly higher standard than REC/ITC. Access to level 2 and 3 courses is only for people with sufficient previous expereince.
First Aid at Work courses with an outdoor element are also
suitable for this plus for Horse Riding Instructors. The 8hr
course is sufficient for RYA, BCU and Scout requirements. Shorter
courses are for people working close to
assistance.

Institute for Outdoor Learning Facilitation Skills
Part of IOL's Professional Development programme. A two-day course suitable for practitioners with some experience of delivering outdoor activity, development training or education programmes.

Paddlepower or Paddlesport Start awards are available as part of our Education courses.
Star tests and Foundation Safety and Rescue Test are pre-requisites for Coaching Award Courses - we provide this service for professionals wanting to upskill in a supportive environment with experienced coaches.
